    UITP (Union Internationale des Transports Publics) seeks an

    Manager Regional Services (Brussels)

    To provide support and guidance to the UITP Regional offices in delivering the UITP regional services and act as coordinator between the UITP regional offices and the corporate staff for the services delivery.

    Primary responsibilities will include:

    • Provide scientific support and coordinate knowledge about public transport with other thematic experts
    • Set up and maintain communication tools (websites, newsletters, publications, etc.) to improve knowledge flows within the organization
    • Research work, compilation and drafting of reports, positions, statistics and policy indicators on public transport related topics with information provided by the corporate experts and the regional offices
    • organization of international meetings and small projects (e.g. study tours)

    Ideal candidate will have the following profile:

    • Solid knowledge of English. Other languages are an asset
    • Easy going personality and good presentation skills
    • Dynamic, sense of initiative and ability to work autonomously
    • Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills
    • Good understanding of multi-cultural backgrounds and preferably a first professional experience in a multi-cultural environment
    • Real interest in public transport issues
    • Prior professional experience in the field of public transport or related sectors such as urban development is important.
    • Ability and flexibility to travel internationally
